The Best Orange County Farmers Markets

Orange County is a very health-conscious area, and a favorite activity there among residents and visitors alike is to go to the farmer’s market. Farmer’s markets are a great place to pick up affordable fresh produce and to check out local brands as well. Many people in Orange County make a weekly tradition out of going to the farmer’s market – it’s so much fun to browse the stalls, try out samples, and catch up with the local businesses. There are several farmer’s markets throughout Orange County – here are some of our favorites. 

Garden Grove Farmer’s Market

This farmer’s market feels like a festival every single Sunday when it’s held from 9 AM to 2 PM. It’s located on Main Street in Garden Grove, and you’ll find not only fruits, veggies, and other foods, but also art, jewelry, and other products from local artisans. There’s also live entertainment to enjoy as you stroll through the area. 

Laguna Niguel Farmer’s Market

This market is held every Sunday from 8 AM to noon and is located in the Plaza de la Paz shopping center. It’s a sponsored certified farmer’s market with the Orange County Farm Bureau, so you will find a great selection from some of the area’s top farmers. Additionally, this market has plenty of other goods, like seafood and vegan products, and there’s plenty of samples to choose from. 

Costa Mesa Farmer’s Market

This is another farmer’s market that is certified by the Orange County Farm Bureau, which means you can really count on the quality and selection that they have to offer. It’s held at the Orange County Fairgrounds, so there’s plenty of space and parking. It’s held every Thursday from 9 AM to 1 PM and has a very relaxed atmosphere. 

Huntington Beach Surf City Nights

Huntington Beach hosts their Surf City Nights fair every Tuesday from 5 to 9 PM on 3rd Street. The farmer’s market is a big part of this street fair, with an excellent selection of fruits, veggies, and other locally grown certified produce. You’ll also find plenty of local artisan booths where you can pick up new clothing, jewelry, homeware, and more. There’s live music every week, and there are also fun activities for kids like bounce houses and pony rides. 

Newport Beach Farmer’s Market

This farmer’s market is held on Newport Beach’s Pier 70, so you get stunning views of the ocean while you are shopping. It’s held on Sundays from 9 AM to 1 PM. You’ll find tons of goodies for your kitchen – fresh produce, flowers, specialty food items, and artisan goods. It’s also very close to the local fish market if you want to pick up a fresh catch. 

Fullerton Farmer’s Market

If you are in the northern part of Orange County, this is a market worth checking out. It’s held in Fullerton’s Independence Park on Wednesdays from 8 AM to 1 PM. It’s considered to be the oldest farmer’s market in Orange County and has a wonderful community atmosphere.
